Delta And United Airlines Will NOT Hire Unvaccinated Workers

United Airlines Employees Receive COVID-19 Vaccination At O'Hare Airport

Both Delta and United Airlines have announced they will not be hiring unvaccinated employees moving forward.

In a memo sent out to employees of United, and obtained by CBS News, the company stated, "Effective for all job offers made after June 15, 2021, we will require any external candidates for U.S.-based jobs to attest that they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by their start date."

New employees will be required to show proof of vaccination within 7 days of joining the company.

There are other airlines that are not requiring vaccination or proof of vaccination such as American Airlines that stated, "We are strongly encouraging team members to get vaccinated and offering an incentive for those who do. But we do not plan to require the vaccine unless it's mandatory for entry into certain destinations."
