Broward County Approves The Use Of Metal Detectors In Schools

The Broward County Public School Board has approved the use of metal detectors on campus in order to help protect students, teachers, and staff from school shootings and other violent threats.

This means that both students and staff will be required to go through the metal detectors.

The school board hopes the metal detectors will help decrease the amount of gun violence and social media threats that have been on the rise recently.

According to the school board, the policy will go into effect immediately following a unanimous vote.
