BTS Korean rapper J-Hope and ‘Spanglish’ artist Becky G gave fans nostalgia with the release of their new collaboration on “Chicken Noodle Soup”. The song contains trilingual verses, in English, Spanish and Korean. The duo sampled the 2006 dance hit with the same title “Chicken Noodle Soup” originally by Webstar, Young B and the Voice of Harlem, but added a modern spin.
The 2006 video shows artists performing catchy verses and choreography on a hot day in the streets of Harlem. Not only did the song go viral for its simple, yet memorable lyrics, but the dance craze took over the early 2000’s.

Instead of a ‘remake’ of the original hit, both J-Hope and Becky G have described the 2019 “Chicken Noodle Soup” as a tribute to the original sensation they crew up dancing to. The song has been revamped with a fusion of melodies, and has since sparked the #CNSChallenge dance challenge across social media.
