South Florida Shopping Malls Back Open With Restrictions

A number of South Florida consumers are slowly beginning to head to shopping malls this week as Broward and Miami-Dade counties begin re-opening phase one.

As for CDC guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic, consumers must keep six feet away as in grocery stores and more public spaces, social distancing and facial coverings are also required. Retail shops are allowed to open at fifty percent capacity.

In Broward County, Sawgrass Mills opened back up with inaccessible restrooms. The mall is also no longer providing strollers and hours have been modified until further notice.

Also opened this week are; Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale, Gulfstream Park Village in Hallandale Beach and City Place Doral in Miami-Dade.

Simon Malls, Coral Square, Dadeland Mall, The Falls, Florida Keys Outlet Marketplace and Miami International Mall are to set open next Monday. Pembroke Lakes Mall is scheduled to open Tuesday, and Brickell City Centre announced that it will begin reopening starting Friday of this week.
