Sometime in October, as COVID-19 cases trend downward, Broward County Public Schools are planning to reopen.
Yesterday, Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie said if the current trends continue and schools will be able to reopen in a phased approach as early as sometime in October.
Runcie also said the school district will be holding a workshop September 22nd to discuss the strategy of their reopening plan, and whether to reopen with a hybrid or full-time on-site structure.
Workouts for student-athletes are expected to resume outdoors in September.
