College Girl Loses 101 Pounds So She Wouldn't Get Sweaty Walking To Class!

Check out 24 year old Olivia Shanks who studied at Radford University.

Like many college students, Olivia gained the freshman 15 and many more after. 

Which led to her weighing 255 pounds by her junior year.

One day she discovered that going up a flight of stairs was difficult and was disgusted on how sweaty she got just by walking to class so she decided to get her health right. 

She’s gone from a size 22 to a size 8-10.

Way to go Olivia! We are extremely proud of you! 

If you are wondering how Olivia did it, here is what she said: 

'I got serious about my eating habits and got active.

I stopped eating fast and going out to eat. I started eating from home every day.

I started meal prepping weekly until I was disciplined to eat without slipping up or binge eating.’

Over time, the food I once craved, I no longer thought about.

My advice to those who want to lose a significant amount of weight is to trust the process.

Surround yourself with like-minded people and positivity.’

Exactly ONE YEAR into my weightloss journey today! ❀️πŸ’ͺ🏾😍 Realistically when I started this journey, I didn't know how long I was going to last or if I had the will power it took to keep myself motivated to make it past the first month. Lord knows my struggles & trials on this journey, yet it's been the most rewarding 365 days that I could've given myself. This journey has taught me what it means to push my limits (mentally, emotionally & physically) & to NEVER give up on myself! I'm PROUD to say that I've lost 86lbs, 22% body fat & 49 inches off my body! Went from a size 20/22 to a size 10/12, 2XL to a medium, lost 2 ring sizes & a shoe size. It hasn't been easy. I have my good & bad days just like anyone else. You can't skip the struggle & expect permanent results. There's no magic or sorcery to getting the weight off, just old fashion exercising/getting active & eating healthier!! No pills, no surgeries, no crazy diets, no shortcuts. I'm still grinding to hit my 100lbs loss by my birthday (7/11♋️) & still have ways to go. The past year has taught me, if you want it bad enough you will put in the work & time to get it done! You get what you work for, not what you wish for. It's not an easy journey but it's surely worth it.
