Selena was a legend in her own right and her untimely death broke the hearts of all people and throughout all genres. In the last couple of years, we have seen a resurgence of her iconic outfits worn by celebrities like Cardi B. Even MAC Cosmetics debuted a lipstick to honor her and it sold out within minutes.
Now, for the first time in US television history, there will be a miniseries revealing the story behind her death. It's based on the book Telemundo journalist, María Celeste Arrarás, wrote a few years ago. And not to spoil the tv show, but you will be able to get a glimpse into the mind of the murderer, Yolanda Saldívar, who at one point was close friends with Selena and president of her fan club.
"The Secret of Selena" will premiere on Telemundo on August 25 at 10PM. English subtitles will be available too.
