It's been a pretty crazy 36 hours for the people of Ft. Lauderdale. Early Thursday morning, they received notice that because of an accident they were not able to use water unless they boiled it first. This caused a nightmare for not only the people who live in the city, but restaurants and hotels. By Thursday afternoon, the strip at Las Olas was shut down and seemed like a ghost town. Those who were in town on vacation had to be relocated to nearby hotels. Some people who have AC units were unable to turn on the air because water is used.
It was a nightmare to say the very least.
Now, the water is back on, but officials say a boil water notice is still in effect until tomorrow at the very least.
