Bahamas Relief: Donation Drive in Pembroke Park

Hurricane Dorian brutally battered the islands of the Bahamas, and as of 8AM it still has not stopped. The number of reported deaths, damaged and destroyed homes is steadily rising. Meanwhile, local Floridians are coming together to help the Bahamians.

Miami-Dade and Broward counties have the largest population of Bahamians in the country. That population along with good samaritans have now started many donation drives to help their family and friends get back on their feet after the hurricane destroyed everything they own.

Throughout the storm, Representative Shevrin Jones shared many pictures and videos from his family in the Bahamas and what they were experiencing. Now, he has set up a donation drive today at Koinonia Worship Center & Village, located at 4900 West Hallandale Beach Blvd, Pembroke Park, FL from 9am-3pm. They are asking for medical supplies, hygiene essentials, and more.
