On July 1st, a bill was signed to law to stop the texting and driving. The law received a lot of flack because people didn't understand how a police officer can tell if you're texting, using GPS, or doing something else. Plus, the ticket price was significantly low. You have to pay $30 and get a point off your license the first time it happens, then if it happens again in three years you pay $60 and get three points off your license.
Now, they have expanded the bill to include no texting and driving in school or construction zones. I feel this was a perfect expansion of the bill, because people drive the worst in those zones.
