Last week to celebrate International Girls In Aviation Day an all-female Delta Airlines crew took 120 girls from Salt Lake City to Houston to visit NASA. The event was designed to show girls in a male-dominated field that they can achieve great things.
Delta even had all-female ramp and gate agents and the girls were able to see how all aspects of flying a plane works.
When they reached the space center, the girls had a chance to tour the facility and have lunch with astronauts and women who work for the company.
Girls in Aviation is a worldwide day and 20,000 people celebrated nationwide.
