Just in time for Art Basel, the Museum of Graffiti is set to open on December 5th in the heart of Wynwood. It will be the area's first museum which is awesome because Wynwood was crafted by graffiti artists. The Museum of Graffiti is owned by Alan Ket and Allison Freidin. Alan started tagging buildings with graffiti at a young age in New York City and is well-versed on the history of graffiti. Allison is a lawyer and businesswoman in Miami, who is known for helping artists.
The Museum of Graffiti is a one-hour indoor, self-guided tour that takes you through the 50 year history of graffiti and the artists who pioneered the world. The museum includes a gift shop that has exclusive, one of a kind merchandise. They have also programmed several of the exterior walls along NW 25th Street, NW 3rd Avenue, and NW 26th Street with the help of today's top graffiti artists.
