Hallandale Officials Support Locally Owned Restaurants In An Amazing Way!

It's always nice to hear some good news in this trying/scary time. As you know, locally owned restaurants and shops may suffer the worse because of the coronavirus. While officials are asking people to stay home to stop the spread, it means no customers for restaurants who are small/local and count on people to make a profit to pay their employees.

Well, Hallandale Beach city officials understood that many of their local restaurants could become obsolete without customers, so they decided to pick one local restaurant a day for lunch. They are using $500-700 a day of their emergency funding to pay for the meals of city employees.

Here's a list of where they will be eating the rest of the week.

  • Wednesday: El Tayta, 1721 East Hallandale Beach Blvd
  • Thursday: Dr Limon Ceviche Bar, 801 North Federal Highway
  • Friday: Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine, 1727 East Hallandale Beach Blvd
