The coronavirus pandemic has brought a lot of bad news and has left many people unemployed, furloughed and wondering how they are going to financially make it. We all know the hospitality industry, which makes up the majority of jobs in South Florida, was hit the worst.
Yesterday, marked phase one of reopenings of some restaurants and businesses across Broward and Miami Dade County. While a survey says 22% of Americans are fearful of dining in restaurants, one former NFL player was not. Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson decided to dine-in at Havana's Cuban Cuisine in Cooper City. When he was handed the $37 bill, he tipped the waitress $1,000 and left a note that said, "Congrats on reopening. Sorry about the pandemic, hope this helps. I love you.”
He tweeted a picture of his good deed with the caption "Proverbs 11:25", which is a Bible verse that says "He that watereth shall be watered also himself.”
Kudos to him! If you can do some good for those in your community - do it!
