Philadelphian's Have Been Sending Flowers, But NOT For Valentine's Day...

Ahhh flowers, the staple of Valentine's Day.... or is It?

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, florist Tolani Lawrence- Lightfoot has been busier than ever in the past 11 months amidst the pandemic. Since there hasn't been much celebrating of anything this year due to COVID, she said that people have been showing their appreciations by sending flowers for reasons ranging from literally nothing to literally everything....

At Snapdragon Flowers in Cedar Park, she can see the community’s desire to connect — its longing to support and grieve with each other, and to celebrate together — in the number of orders she receives. Philadelphians have sent flowers more during the pandemic, she said, than in each of the previous five years... people have most often sent flowers for no reason except to say “I’m thinking of you” or “I hope this brightens your day.”

So if you aren't comfortable traveling / celebrating yet... when in doubt... send flowers!
