The State Board of Education met yesterday to discuss how schools will move forward for the remainder of the academic year despite the COVID-19 surge. Parents in Florida will continue to have the option of online learning or bringing their children to school for in-person learning for the rest of the school year.
Miami-Dade County Public Schools will soon offer free COVID testing to all students thanks to a partnership with the University of Miami. According to WSVN, they're hoping free testing will be able to roll out as soon as next week. The final round of negotiations is happening now. For now, the superintendent believes the 2021 school year will look just like 2020's.
