Starting Wednesday, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will offer COVID tests to flyers. Passengers can choose to take a test for a fee, whether it’s because their destination wants proof they aren’t sick or to protect friends and family they may be visiting. The airport will offer two tests: a rapid results test, and one that takes longer, but considered to be more accurate.
Fort Lauderdale Airport is the latest airport to offer the test. About half of the country’s 30 large hub airports already offer them. Testing at the Fort Lauderdale airport will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week at the Terminal 3 baggage claim pre-security area — near JetBlue and Spirit Airlines. Testing may also be offered at Palm Beach International Airport in February.
