One of the greatest gifts this world can give us is our pets. So, it's important that we remember to keep them safe over the holidays from eating something they shouldn't. A rehoming center for dogs called, Dogs Trust Manchester, is putting a reminder out to all dog owners about Christmas safety.
Here are some tips they said will help keep your furry family member safe:
- Ensure human treats are out of sight, reach and smell.
- Don't let your dog drink: mulled wine or any alcohol.
- Don't let your dog eat onions, leeks, garlic, chives, holly berries, and mistletoe.
- Don't let your dog eat chocolate or raisins.
My own personal tip- maybe make them special dog treats so they can indulge too and of course don't forget to leave them little presents under the tree or in their stocking!
