After a tense day at Capitol Hill, Congress has confirmed Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 Presidential election. The decision came early Thursday morning when Congress reconvened after a group of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building. The Capitol Complex had been declared clear before congress reconvened.
Shortly after the results were announced, President Trump made a statement pledging an "orderly transition" of power.
The statement read in part, "Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th."
