FIU is asking employees to return to campus this week. An email was sent out last week from FIU President Mark Rosenberg, strongly suggesting they begin to return to campus to ensure the success of the students and the university.
The campus comeback will affect nearly 10,000 employees. FIU's campus has been closed for almost a year now with students and staff working remotely throughout the pandemic.
Students will continue to learn remotely through the Spring semester. Having employees return to campus seems to be the first step in making a full return to campus. There were previous reports that FIU was using trained dogs on campus this semester to sniff out COVID.
