Looking to get away? Like far away? Like *really* far away? A California company has announced plans to open the world's first 'Space Hotel' by the year 2027. And idk why that feels a little too soon for me.
It's called the Voyager Station, the hotel would be shaped like a wheel with 24 modules connected by elevator shafts. It will come complete with bars, restaurants, and zero-gravity recreational activities.
Of course, guests will need a way to get to outer space - and companies like SpaceX and Virgin Galactic haven't quite nailed down space tourism just yet. I'm gonna need them to be 1000% on that travel before I ever stay at a space hotel. Although this does kind of remind me of Zenon: Girl of The 21st Century and now I'm kind of here for it.
