Louis Vuitton has announced that it's paying tribute to Virgil Abloh with a presentation of his Spring/Summer collection in Miami tomorrow (Nov. 30). Virgil Abloh was the artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection since 2018. He just passed away on November 28th after a private battle with cancer. Abloh was also the chief executive officer of the Milan-based label Off-White, a fashion house he founded in 2012.
Tributes have been pouring in from celebs honoring the designer for breaking barriers in the industry, including a tribute from his long-time friend and collaborator Kanye West, who dedicated his latest Sunday Service to him.
Louis Vuitton announced the show along with a tribute video titled "Virgil Was Here" describing the designer as a creative genius. The show is due to take place at the Miami Marine Stadium on November 30, and will begin at 5.30PM ET.
