  • Overall, workers with a bachelor’s degree tend to make more money than those without, with the median weekly earnings for someone with a degree $1,305, compared to $781 for someone with just a high school diploma.
  • But if you want to make more than that, you may want to look into majoring in Chemical Engineering, which earns the highest starting salary, woth the median starting salary of $75,301.
  • In fact, engineering in general seems to be a good choice, with eight of the Top 10 high paying majors in some sort of engineering field.
