This is a fantastic article from USA Today that addresses all the simple, and more complex questions that parents might have about sending kids back to school, and the science of it. They dig into questions like "Can kids get COVID-19", "What happens to kids when they get COVD-19", and even more importantly in places like South Florida, where at least the beginning of the new school year will be virtual, "Can social isolation harm my kids?" Plus there are tons of great info-graphics to read through, so if you want to educate your kids with a conversation about COVID-19 in schools, this article will help you through it.
While the Miami-Dade School District had indicated they would like to return students to the physical schoolhouse, they have said on their website they will not do so, while Miami-Dade County remains in Phase 1 of The Plan for Florida's Recovery.
