Legendary news anchor, journalist and TV host Barbara Walters is dead at age 93. TMZ reports that she died at her home, surrounded by loved ones. Her health had been declining for years. She passed away Friday in New York City.
She was the first woman to co-host the Today Show in 1974, and continued to lead the way for women in broadcasting when becoming the first female co-anchor of an evening news program on the ABC Evening News. She won Emmy Awards for both the Today Show and The View, and hosted many famous interviews on 20/20 through the years.
Barbara had been married four times, and had one daughter, Jaqueline Dana Guber.
