It's finally happening: Amazon is following through on opening its first cashier-less Whole Foods stores.
The "just walk out" technology will be located in DC and Sherman Oaks, California.
New technology will allow shoppers to enter a store by scanning an app, and when they are done, they exit without needing to stand in a checkout line.
While they are there, both cameras and sensors track what they've grabbed, which will be billed after.
"By collaborating with Amazon to introduce Just Walk Out shopping at these two Whole Foods Market stores, our customers will be able to... save time by skipping the checkout line," said Whole Foods co-founder John Mackey.
