In the wake of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, students nation wide have started a movement to get laws passed for better gun control
Unfortunately, it has created quite a divide between political parties. Most notably though we've seen a lot of people attacking the NRA who has been fighting to keep gun laws the way they are while these students rally for change.
Recently though, a student from Stoneman Douglas, who actually spoke out during our Y100 Town Hall sat down with a member of the NRA to discuss their beliefs and the possibility of coming to an agreement
I just want to mention that when Lewis was here for the YHigh Town Hall he was the student that told me that yelling and name calling during the CNN town hall was unnecessary and that we needed to treat our representatives with respect even if we don't agree with them and have conversations just like this one.
He's leading by example here and I applaud him for it
