Real men cry!
There was an exclusive listening party for Justin Bieber's forthcoming album, Changes, in Los Angeles and Variety was there taking notes! JB took the spotlight, alongside wife Hailey Bieber, to speak on how his creativity was stifled following depression and he credited his faith for overcoming the bad times.
βI donβt even think I should be alive never mind thrive. Thereβs power in weakness,β he said, his voice quivering. His creative work, added Bieber, is βa reflection of that β¦ thank you for loving me at my worst.β
He went on to thank music collaborator Pooh Bear and manager Scooter Braun along with others who have helped him get through it all. He tried to hold back tears, but he let it all out anyway.
Things lightened up as the music got going, with Bieber messing around with a hockey stick as people listened attentively to the album taking note of the R&B influence that can be heard throughout the new songs.
