With Miami-Dade and Broward counties representing the majority of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus, it's time now to take this thing more serious than ever. Just look at how drastic the regulations have changed from one day to the next; yesterday residents were told not to gather in groups of more than 10 at parks (following beach closings) and now, as of Thursday morning, NO ONE is allowed in the parks or recreational areas AT ALL. From the Miami Herald:
It's to the point where it's best to keep to yourself at home and if you or someone you know begins to show symptoms, consult your physician IMMEDIATELY and think about getting the prescription necessary to get tested! These sites are now open for testing, according to The Miami Herald:
β Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, 3250 Meridian Parkway, will begin testing Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the novel coronavirus... But itβs by appointment only.
β Broward Health on Thursday will also be opening an appointment-only drive-thru coronavirus testing site in Pompano Beach. Patients must receive a written prescription from a physician and then call 954-320-5730 to register for a test. Those who qualify will then have to show a photo ID, the written prescription and the registration confirmation number once they arrive to the site.
β In Miami-Dade, Community Health of South Florida began testing patients Wednesday at its Doris Ison Health Center, 10300 SW 216th St. The nonprofit is expecting to open another center in the Florida Keys by the week of March 23.
β The state is also working to create a drive-thru testing site in the parking lot of Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
