A New York-based law firm – Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks – is currently the victim of a cyberattack and the hackers are seeking a $21 Million ransom, according to the New York Post. The major media and entertainment law firm has a long list of celebrities they formerly and currently represent, which include Drake, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Lil Nas X, Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Priyanka Chopra, LeBron James, Mike Tyson, and even Facebook.
According to Variety, the attack was carried out by a group called "REvil."
The group has previously targeted companies and organizations including Travelex, the U.K.-based currency-exchange company, which paid $2.3 million in bitcoin to hackers after a ransomware attack.
