You gotta give it up for the students of the 2019-2020 school year, they endured quite a bit of sudden changes and still overcame! That's probably why so many celebrities showed up and showed out with all the virtual commencement speeches and well wishes. So many familiar names – from Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, the Obamas, and even the Simpsons – offered their advice and shared personal stories of encouragement for the graduating class of 2020.
T-Swift shared: “This is probably not the graduation you thought you were going to have. I relate to that. My diploma was mailed to me. I guess one good lesson to come from it is expect the unexpected, but celebrate anyway.”
Beyoncé uplifted like only Queen Bey could: “To the young women, our future leaders, know that you’re about to make the world turn. I see you. You are everything the world needs. Make those power moves. Be excellent. And to the young kings, lean into your vulnerability and redefine masculinity. Lead with heart.”
