Entertainment Venues Will Be Able To Reopen In Miami-Dade Starting Friday

Entertainment venues such as movie theaters, bowling alleys and banquet halls in Miami-Dade County will be reopening later this week at 50% capacity.

According to NBC 6, Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez said that with the county's daily COVID-19 infection rate under 5% he will be signing an order that will go into effect Friday allowing for entertainment businesses to reopen at 50% capacity.

“They must follow the guidelines in place including, obviously, wearing masks, distancing of 6 feet, and special HVAC systems to bring more fresh air into those spaces," Gimenez said.

Bars and nightclubs will remain closed.
