Selena Gomez has parted ways with her church, the well-known and celebrity-heavy Hillsong, following a cheating scandal involving her pastor Carl Lentz. Reportedly, she's super let down:
“At one stage she adored Carl. She, [Hillsong founder] Brian[Houston], his daughter Laura and Justin were a team, really close. Now she doesn’t want anything to do with Hillsong anymore.”
But while this may have affected her direct relationship with the church, her faith is not rattled. According to a close pal:
“Selena considers herself a Christian. She says she has a close relationship with God, and she believes this is not how God wants us to operate, she’s disillusioned.”
