President Joe Biden signed an order Monday reversing the ban on transgender individuals serving in the military.
The new executive order overturns a ban ordered by Donald Trump.
It immediately prohibits any service member from being removed from the military on the basis of their gender identity.
As the President signed the order he said, “What I’m doing is enabling all qualified Americans to serve their country in uniform."
