Billie Eilish attended the Met Gala this past week in an Oscar de la Renta gown with a 15-foot train. It was beautiful, truly!
The fashion house's creative director said, “Billie was very interested in surprising everybody with a look she hasn’t done before. very clean and sensual. It felt like a risk for her — she wants to look pretty.”
Turns out the "Everything I Wanted" singer agreed to wear the nude tulle dress by Oscar de la Renta on one condition: that the designer label “terminate all fur sales, which are meaningful amount of sales and profit.”
Billie is a vegan and animal rights activist. A “no fur” clause simply makes sense.
She had this to say about the agreement: “I’m honored to have been a catalyst. I am shocked that wearing fur isn’t completely outlawed.”
