Blood Donations to Assist Blood Banks after Stoneman Douglas Shooting
MARGATE, FL (February 20, 2018) – On Tuesday, February 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the City of Margate will hold a blood drive to help replenish supplies that were used to treat the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. The OneBlood Big Red Bus will be parked at Margate City Hall’s overflow parking lot at the corner of Park Drive and NW 10th Street.

As a token of the City’s appreciation, each blood donor will receive two tickets to Calypso Cove, the City of Margate’s water park. In addition, donors will get a wellness check-up that includes iron count, blood pressure, pulse, temperature and cholesterol screening.
OneBlood, a local not-for-profit blood center, will collect blood donations in its Big Red Bus.
