The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer just got a new tattoo and the symbolism behind the ink is actually very nice. Her manager Scooter Braun introduced her to the artist who tatted her at his other client Ariana Grande's concert. He goes by Alessandro Capozzi and he described what Demi's new angel is all about:
We created this piece together to represent a rebirth of the spirit. The dark wings represent the bad times, their fading away is how she moved forward. The light from within represents the inner strength necessary for the change and the doves, pulling her up, symbolize the reach of an higher state of consciousness. You'll recall Demi has been on a redemption and healing spree ever since her near-death overdose that landed her in the hospital then rehabilitation center.
