Farmer's Markets Closed For Coronavirus, But Here's A Local Alternative

As the numbers go up on the amount of confirmed cases and casualties of COVID-19, the disease brought on by the novel coronavirus, it hits closer to home that you have to keep your distance and only go out if you need to. So far, Governor Ron DeSantis hasn't put a state-wide "lockdown" in place but we should still observe social distancing precautions. Most big chain stores are still a little on the crowded side, maybe a farmer's market is more your style.

Usually, Urban Oasis Project, a Florida Non-Profit Organization, helps bridge the gap between communities who need quality food and local farmers. But during this global pandemic, unfortunately, all farmer's markets have been closed. The team has, instead of given up, stepped up to the plate and is now offering Miami-Dade County the opportunity to pre-order groceries with several pick-up options available.
