A judge in Spanish ruled there is “sufficient evidence of criminality” to place the singer Shakira on trial. If found guilty of tax evasion, she could face two years behind bars.
A lengthy investigation uncovered possible tax fraud in the years 2012 to 2014. Reportedly, by claiming she did not live in Spain, Shakira avoided paying at least $17 million. However, at this same time, Shakira lived with her long-time Spanish boyfriend, Gerard Pique, who is a star player for the Barcelona soccer team.
We wonder which way this thing will go. We highly doubt her lawyers will leave her rotting in jail, LOL...
