Netflix has begun its long-awaited crackdown on password sharing.
On Tuesday, the streamer began emailing customers with a reminder that “Your Netflix account is for you and the people you live with – your household".
It also explains how to transfer a Netflix profile to a new account or add access for someone who lives outside your home for $7.99 per month.
The crackdown has been in the works for more than a year.
Netflix has previously said that about 100 million accounts are sharing passwords.
