Is LG7 in progress? Lady Gaga riled up her very excitable fan base with a new selfie last night (Wednesday, November 15th). In the photo Gaga holds up her phone to show off her short, platinum-blonde hair, and in a second photo, she revealed that she's in a studio surrounded by cables and other audio equipment. Gaga captioned the photo with a black heart and music notes.

"Electric Lady Studios??" one fan guessed. "Mother Monster is creating magic FOR SURE." Another fan added, "LG7 IS COMING!!!" A veteran Gaga fan account, Gaga Daily, also popped up in the comments to let fans know, "This is the studio where she finished recording Chromatica."

Lady Gaga's next album, which has been dubbed LG7 by fans, will be the follow-up to her dance album Chromatica which dropped in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in May 2020. The album spawned hits like her collaboration with Ariana Grande, "Rain On Me" and "Stupid Love."

However, fans have spent the last year rediscovering deep cuts from her 2011 album Born This Way. Nearly a year after the Netflix show Wednesday helped spread a viral TikTok dance for Gaga's song "Bloody Mary," fans on the social media app are now sharing another track from the album, "Heavy Metal Lover." Thanks to the song trending on TikTok, it hit a new high in streams since its release over 10 years ago.

Aside from pending new music, fans also have the highly-anticipated Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux to look forward to. The singer/actress will portray Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix returning as the Joker. The film is set to release in October 2024.
