If you were hoping Addison Rae would take on the role of Britney Spears in the pop star's upcoming biopic, don't get your hopes up.
Spears is developing a movie based on her memoir, The Woman In Me, with Wicked director Jon M. Chu, and in recent months fans have drawn comparisons between Addison and Britney, and have been vocal about suggesting the "Diet Pepsi" singer to play Brit in the forthcoming movie.
But, in a new interview with The New Hit List host, iHeartRadio's Angelina, Rae is sharing why she wouldn't want to play Spears in the film. She explained, "I honestly don’t think anyone deserves to play Britney," touting Spears as "such an enigma and such an icon." She continued, "I support anything and everything that Britney Spears ever wants to do in her life and career, and I think she’ll have the best opinion on who she thinks that should be. That’s what I’m gonna lean on."
However, if Britney were to say she thinks that Addison would be a good fit for the role, Addison said she "would be very, very honored if she ever were to say that. I think if she ever were to say anything to me, even if it was something I didn’t want to hear, I’d be like, 'I’ll take it.'"
