Alexander Cardinale Returns With 'Peace Train' Cover Following IVF Mixup

You might remember Alexander Cardinale for his song "Made For You," made famous by a Coca-Cola commercial. But now, Cardinale is reintroducing himself with a modernized cover of Cat Stevens' 1971 hit "Peace Train," following an extremely challenging time in his family after an IVF mixup.

Cardinale and his wife, Daphna, welcomed a second daughter into the world several years ago in 2019 thanks to IVF, except what should have been an incredibly happy time, turned into something unimaginable: Alexander and Daphna had discovered they had given birth to someone else's child and someone else had given birth to theirs after both embryos had somehow been switched. Each family, with their words turned upside down, ultimately decided to come together and raise their girls together. Needless to say, such a taxing experience caused Cardinale to take a step back from music to focus on his family.

Having time to process everything, Alexander has returned with his version of "Peace Train," and explained of the song, "I reflect on what got me through the darkest period of my life: choosing love. My wife and I chose to come together, not only with each other but with another family. Through that choice—through togetherness—love, not fear, brought us peace. Choosing love and unity overcame the fear and anger."
