Selena Gomez is speaking out about the "weird" way her voice has changed over the years.
During a livestream on Instagram this week, the Rare Beauty founder answered a question from a fan who was curious about the way Gomez's vocal tone has changed in recent years, and given the singer's response, it's one that she has faced multiple times, per People.
"Yeah I've gotten this question a few times. The voice thing. So, sometimes when I'm on — nevermind," she began, before seemingly deciding against sharing the full details. "There's no excuse. I don't really care."
The "In the Dark" singer instead said the point she wanted to make was that "sometimes things happen" and it isn't deeper than that.
"I get weird. My throat kind of swells inside sometimes," she said. "That's all."
Gomez has been open about her health struggles with lupus and bipolar disorder over the years, including how the autoimmune disease has impacted her way of living. Lupus can cause inflammation which in turn can lead to swelling in the body and swollen glands, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
The Only Murders in the Building actress also recently answered another fan question about her appearance, this time laughing off a comment wondering how she shaves her "mustache."
