NASA Rolls Out Artemis II Rocket To Its Launchpad

(Cape Canaveral, FL) - NASA is holding all-day press conference called, "Ignition," to update the plans for the first manned moon flyby since 1972.

NASA administrator Jared Isaacman opened up the event and explained it's called "Ignition" because it represents the start of a transformative journey for NASA.

He also thanked the leadership of President Trump for providing the tools needed to execute on NASA's world-changing mission.

Next week, the first human moon mission in more than 50 years is expected to launch from NASA's Kennedy Space Center sending four astronauts on a journey around the moon.

There are four attempts possible between April 1st-6th.

Today's event highlight's the upcoming Artemis missions to land astronauts on the moon and to build a permanent lunar base.

Also, NASA panels are discussing the development of a nuclear interplanetary spaceship, and a moon landing is targeted for 2028 under the Artemis 4 mission.
