DNA Links Serial Killer Ted Bundy to Another Murder

Infamous serial killer Ted Bundy has been linked to another murder through DNA.

Bundy was executed in Florida in 1989 for the murder of a 12-year-old girl and is believed to have raped and killed dozens of women during the 1970s in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Colorado and Florida.

Bundy was later convicted of three murders in Tallahassee and sentenced to death.

Utah officials now say they have solved a decades-old case after finding "definitive proof" that Bundy killed a 17-year-old girl who went missing in 1974 after leaving a party.

Her body was found on Thanksgiving Day in a canyon south of Salt Lake City.

Before dying in Florida's electric chair at the age of 42, Bundy told police he killed as many as 30 women. However, authorities believe the number could be as high as 100.
