A powerful earthquake struck off the coast of southern Mexico and Central America Friday morning.
The US Geological Survey says the trembler was a magnitude as 7.4 with the epicenter located in the Mexican coastal state of Chiapas.
It also rocked neighboring countries, Guatemala and El Salvador.
According to the USGS the quake appears to have caused moderate to severe shaking along the coast.
