During an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Victoria Secret Angel Shanina Shaik confirmed that this year’s Victoria Secret Fashion Show is NOT happening.
Shaik told Australia's The Daily Telegraph, "Unfortunately the Victoria's Secret show won't be happening this year". She went on to say, "I'm sure they're trying to work on branding and new ways to do the show because it's the best show in the world."
Shaik walked the Victoria Secret runway in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2018. She also shared her feelings of the cancellation and how that affected what she does around this time of year. "It's something I'm not used to because every year around this time I'm training like an Angel. But I'm sure in the future something will happen, which I'm pretty sure about."
The cancellation of the Victoria Secret Fashion Show is said to have happened from diminishing ratings for several years. Earlier this year, The Wall Street Journal reported that the show wouldn't be televised this year because the brand changed focus and were required to "rethink" the aspects of the show.
I guess we will have to wait and see what Victoria Secret comes up revive the Angels on the catwalk.
