There is a lot of controversy around the captions during Bad Bunny's performance and award acceptance speech during the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
'El Conejo Malo' kicked off the ceremony with an unforgettable performance from his latest album 'Un Verano Sin Ti', and trust me it was amazing. However, viewers got a little sidetracked by the closed captions.
The captions CBS provided during Bad Bunny's performance read "singing in non-English". But it looks like it wasn't just a one-time thing. As Bad Bunny gave his acceptance speech following his win for Best Música Urbana Album, the captions read "speaking non-English."
Looks like the issue was caught and resolved quickly because sources tell EW that the West Coast encore and Paramount+ on-demand versions had updated Spanish-language closed captioning for the opening performance.
