As if FIU could not get more iconic... Here comes it's latest football recruit, and he's got a name that's sent the internet into a frenzy.
Rowdy Beers (yes, that's his actual name) verbally committed to FIU yesterday. In high school, Beers played tight end and defensive line.
Regardless of the skill Beers may or may not possess, the college football world was abuzz.
Beers played for Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, before he committed to Florida International. According to On3 Sports, Beers also had offers from Northern Colorado and Missouri Western State.
